In March of 2026 a Primary Election will be held, this is when EVERY vote counts. All Bastrop County residents registered to vote can, the District Clerk serves ALL Bastrop County.
A primary election in Texas is a partisan election where registered voters choose which candidates will represent a political party in the general election.

Majority vote: For a candidate to win outright, they must receive a majority (more than 50%) of the votes.

Primary runoff: If no candidate gets a majority, the two candidates with the most votes advance to a runoff election, typically held in May.

Why vote for me?
It is important to take into consideration my decision to campaign for this position comes from being a part of the system for over a decade. The improvements I want for Bastrop County District's Clerk office come from witnessing first hand where the deficiencies are. While working as a Civil Deputy District clerk, I worked directly along the side of other deputy clerks, court house staff and departments to maximize the service and quality of assistance. Assisting residents and attorneys with repetitive questions and frustrations give me insight to what can be improved, what limitations are not necessary, and how to alleviate the intimidation that comes with visiting the District Clerk's office.
